CUET PG 2023 Path to PG Admission in Central Universities, Premier Institutions
In India Admissions to the Post Graduate Programmes of the Central Universities, other Premier Institutions will be done through the Common University Entrance Test CUET PG. The CUET PG 2023 notification has been released by the National Testing Agency NTA for the year 2023.
Through the CUET PG 2023, admissions will be conducted to 142 Universities, Premier Institutions, Deemed Universities, State Universities, Private Universities.
Central Universities
Central Universities are under the control Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education. The Central Universities are Union Universities established by an Act of Parliament. University Grants Commission in India will give recognization to the Universities in India.
The central universities have world-class infrastructure, with state-of-the-art facilities, the latest academic curriculum, best teaching faculty, which will give the students an edge over the other university students.
Because of these best resources, a good reputation, and a high chance of getting lucrative employment, there is a huge demand for central university admissions throughout India.
CUET PG 2023
The Common University Entrance Test CUET PG 2023 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency, and the date of the test will be declared shortly by NTA. The application for the CUET PG 2023 shall be submitted online from 20-03-2023 to 19-04-2023. Before CUET PG entrance, the desirous candidate for PG admissions has to appear for different entrance tests/exams which are very time consuming, expensive, and cumbersome process.
With the implementation of the CUET entrance test, the admission system is centralized which has saved time, the money for PG aspirants. Registering and qualifying for CUET Post Graduate Entrance Exam will enable the candidates to be eligible for admission to all the participating Universities/Institutions of the CUET PG Entrance Exam.

CUET PG Exam
The CUET PG Exam will be conducted in a Computer Based Exam Mode Only by the NTA. The Exam will be conducted in English and Hindi languages, except the language and sahitya papers. The exam wil questions will be of Multiple Choice Questions. Exam will be of 2 hours duration.
- There will be 2 parts in the exam PART A and PART B
- Part A will be of 25 questions, Part B will be of 75 questions
- Each question will carry 4 marks. For one wrong question 1 mark will be deducted
NTA CUET PG Exam Eligibility
Age Limit– There is no age limit to appear for CUET PG entrance exam. But the candidates have to check the respective university eligibility requirements where they wish to take admission.
Educational Qualification – As the eligibility criteria for admission may be unique for every University, the candidates are
advised to visit the University website to which they are applying for their respective programs. Candidates who are in their final year of the Gradaution, or Degree passed candidates can apply for the CUET PG Entrance Examiantion.
CUET PG Admissions
1. The selection and admission are subject to fulfilling

- Rank in the merit list
- Medical fitness
- Verification of original documents
- Other criteria as may be prescribed by the University, the candidate is applying for.
2. Admissions are handled at the level of the Central and Participating Universities for their respective programs.
3. Once the CUET PG results are released by the NTA, the participating universities will release the counselling/admission schedule and merit list based on the CUET PG 2023 score and the reservations and other criteria as set by UGC and Government.
4. All admission-related procedures/queries, the candidates have to consult the applied university, and refer their website.
CUET PG Preparation
Candidate should have a thorough understanding of the selected subjects. Check the syllabus and exam pattern. Focus more on important topics. Review the previous years’ question papers, and check the pattern of the exam.
Practice as many mock tests as possible. Assess the level of preparation based on mock test results, and revise the lagging areas. Continue the preparation until the last minute, it will be beneficial to form a group of friends/fellow aspirants to share their thoughts, study material, exam related information.
